I never thought it could be this easy to lose weight and still eat. No, I am not using the latest fad diet that won’t work. I simply changed the way I eat. More than that, I am tracking what I eat using My Fitness Pal. I have realized that being completely aware of how much I eat in a day is just as important as what type of food I eat. Not only can I log in and track everything online, but there is a handy app for easy access from my phone. No, this isn’t a paid post or anything like that. I’m not advertising for them; this is just a new part of my life that I am thankful to have.
It’s super easy to use. You click “add food” to whatever meal you want and you can type in what you’re eating and most everything is listed in the database. I love it. Even if I was eating three hard shell tacos from Taco Bell – it’s in there. By the way, three hard shell tacos from Taco Bell is pretty darn healthy, in case you were wondering.
This is what my food diary for today looks like:
I can also track the exercise I do and it automatically subtracts how many calories I burned from the calories I have eaten for the day.
I haven’t done any exercise today – or the last few days – because I haven’t been feeling well, but had I done any, it would be included in the equation above. I love this site. Even without exercising (which I will have to start doing again when I feel better because it will speed up the weight loss and tone my body) I have lost weight every single day. Seeing results is the best motivation to keep going.
